We currently have employment opportunities for Direct Support Professional who are shift flexible with a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs.

Candidates must have a valid G driver’s license with no restrictions and be able to provide a vulnerable person’s check. If you have knowledge of developmental disabilities, mental illnesses, dual diagnosis and a post-secondary education in social services (DSW, SSW, PSW), we’d love to meet you!

    Co-Op Placements

    Students seeking co-op placements as part of their post-secondary education program are asked to contact us directly for available opportunities throughout the year.

    For student placements at New Leaf:

    The process begins by contacting Human Resources, sending your resume and related academic program information. Please be aware that our screening process may take 2-4 weeks to complete. Upon confirming a placement, you’ll participate in an orientation, sign off on necessary policies and procedures, obtain a Vulnerable Sector Screen (if applicable), submit local references, and complete training related to your placement.

    Volunteer with us

    Make a difference in the lives of individuals supported by New Leaf. We can provide you with a volunteer opportunity that:

    • Helps you explore future educational and professional opportunities
    • Builds your skills and helps you discover your talents
    • Develops lasting relationships
    • Earns you community service hours
    • Provides a sense of accomplishment
    • Lets you share your talents and hobbies

    We can consider volunteer opportunities in any of the following areas:

    • Supported Living
    • Day Programs
    • Solarium / Greenhouse
    • Gardening – Flowers and Food
    • Fundraising
    • Special Events
    • Administration

    To become a volunteer at New Leaf:

    We would prefer a minimum commitment of six months and 50 hours, although exceptions can apply for certain time-limited activities or events.

    Volunteers should be at least 14 years of age and in grade 9 or older.

    The process begins by contacting Human Resources, sending your resume, and scheduling an interview.

    Please be aware that our screening process may take 2-4 weeks to complete, during which you’ll participate in an orientation, sign off on necessary policies and procedures, obtain a Vulnerable Sector Screen (if applicable), submit local references, and complete training related to your volunteer assignment.
