Growing Together: Welcoming our Summer Students

July 21, 2026

Our Community Connecting with Nature

In April, volunteers, individuals supported by New Leaf, and staff came together as a community to plant 350 trees! Despite the rainy weather, it was an amazing effort, with over 75 volunteers to cap off a week that celebrated Volunteers, Earth Day, and Arbor Day. This event reflected one of our core values, which is to respect the unique natural and physical environment surrounding New Leaf. It was a successful day that led to us not only strengthening our connections with one another but also the land we call home.

A special thank you to East Gwillimbury Councillor Brian Johns for hosting the event and to the team from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) for their invaluable support in making the day a success.
